2020 FedEx Shipping Rates---Effective Jan. 6, 2020
FedEx Express package and freight standard list rates will increase an average of 4.9% for U.S., U.S. export and U.S. import services.
FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery standard list rates will increase an average of 4.9%.
FedEx International Premium® rates will increase.
Minimum rates for FedEx Express services will increase.
FedEx Ground Multiweight® rates will increase.
FedEx SmartPost rates will increase.
Effective Oct. 21, 2019–Jan. 5, 2020
FedEx is not charging additional holiday residential surcharges, except for shipments that are oversized, unauthorized or that require additional handling — these will be in addition to existing surcharges.
Effective Jan. 6, 2020
FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, FedEx Home Delivery®, FedEx SmartPost® and FedEx Freight rates will increase.
There will be changes to shipping surcharges and fees that may apply to your shipment and affect your total shipping rate.
FedEx® Retail Rates will increase.
FedEx One Rate® pricing will increase.
Effective Jan. 20, 2020
There will be an increase to the Advancement Fee for FedEx Express® shipments. See the Jan. 6, 2020, version of the FedEx Service Guide for details.
There will be changes to applicable surcharges for FedEx Express and FedEx Ground fuel surcharge assessment. Details on those changes can be found on the fuel surcharge page.
Applicable services, criteria and pricing for FedEx Express and FedEx Ground packages that require additional handling or are oversized will change. The FedEx Freight Capacity Load minimum charge criteria will also change. Details on those changes can be found here.
2020 UPS Shipping Rate
Effective December 29, 2019, the published rates for our services will increase. This supports ongoing expansion and capability enhancements as we strive to maintain the high service levels you expect from UPS. Below is an overview of our 2020 Rates.* Package--The following changes will become effective December 29, 2019:
The rates for UPS® Ground, UPS Air and International services will increase an average net 4.9%.
A Rebill fee will be assessed for each request to change the billing account for a shipment.
A Prohibited Item fee will apply to packages containing prohibited articles or restricted articles not in compliance with all UPS policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations if found in the UPS system.
Value-added services and other charges will apply to undeliverable packages returned to the shipper.
UPS reserves the right to assess a late payment fee in an amount set forth in the UPS Tariff/Terms and Conditions of Service if an invoice is not paid in full by the invoice due date.
The weight threshold for applying an Additional Handling surcharge will be lowered from 70 pounds to 50 pounds actual weight for UPS Ground and UPS Air services.
The list of ZIP codes to which Delivery Area Surcharges and Extended Area Surcharges apply will change. See updated zip code listings below (under 2020 Preview Rates) for more information.
A processing fee will apply to each request to file a single entry under Entry Type 86 for a shipment that normally qualifies for U.S. customs clearance under a consolidated manifest.
The rates for certain value-added services and other charges will increase.

2020 USPS® Rate Change Overview
In the proposed USPS 2020 rate case, there are no price increases to First-Class Mail Letters and Flats (up to 1 oz.), and no change to postcards. Overall, Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express will increase by 4.1% and 3.5% respectively, but those increases vary by Retail/Commercial, zone and weight. Below, we share some of the proposed 2020 USPS rate increase highlights for letters and packages.

First Class Package Service - 2020 Rates (Commercial Base Pricing)
Overall rates for First Class Package Service will increase by 2.2%. A 15.999 ounce package for First Class Package Service traveling to zone 8 will increase $0.17 to $5.70 in 2020 from $5.53 currently.
Packages that weigh 9 to 15.999 ounces are all seeing increases of 10 cents or more. A package weighing 15.999 ounces traveling to Zone 8 is seeing an increase of 17 cents (3.0%) to $5.70 in 2020 from $5.53 in 2019.

Priority Mail will see an average increase of 2.8%. A 1 lb. package going to Zone 8 using Priority Mail will cost $8.42 in 2020 compared to $8.25
