Starting June 23, 2019 Dimensional Weight Pricing will apply to USPS Parcel Select, Priority Mail, and Priority Mail Express packages acrossing all USPS Postal Zones.
What exactly are the changes?
1. Before:
Dimensional Weight Pricing (DIM pricing) was not applied to shipments in Zones 1-4 if a parcel is over 1 cubit foot . (Length) X (Width) X (Height) ≤1728 is considered one cubic foot.
Now:
All shipments to all zones will be subjected to DIM pricing if the parcel exceeds 1 cubic foot.
2. Before:
The formula to calculate DIM pricing was:
(Length) inch X (Width)inch X (Height)inch / 194.
Now:
(Length) inch X (Width)inch X (Height)inch/ 166.
