Products and Packaging
Product restrictions- weight and size often differ by the destination. For example, shipping to another country through USPS, their maximum package weigh between 41lbs and 70lbs, still depend on destination. FedEx prohibits shipping fine jewelries overseas. Other than that, different countries has its own boundaries. Like some in Europe countries, Denmark, Spain or Greece you can’t ship playing card. Also, in Italy you can’t send bells, in Uruguay you can’t send eyeglasses. Are you aware of that?
Packages for Channeling- the package you ship is going to have a lot of stop overs until it reaches to receiver. In international orders, it will travel by plane and boat. You got to be extra possessed about packing cross-border packages. Check if it needs to have additional packaging requirements. Your package is going to board a long way to go, your goal is to have it be delivered as a whole and in good condition.
Shipping Taxes, Tariffs, & Duties
Shipping taxes differ from one country to another and may need different statement forms. You may also be to paying a custom duty, an import VAT (value of goods + transport charges + duties) and possibly an excise duty (value of goods + transport charges). In organizing your international shipment tactic decide whether you’ll ship to all countries or select countries based on their import taxes and duties. Being a sender, you have to double check all the shipping rules and regulations before sending out the package.
Consider working with a shipping provider such as EzeeShip to get the most cost effective international shipping rates.
Tracking and Insurance
Most carriers are providing tracking of shipment features so you and the receiver can easily access shipment updates.
If you’re worried about lost or damage package, insuring your shipments is the best action. The threat of your packages getting lost in international shipment has high chances because it is usually transported from one shipping service to another.
Insurance is offered by most express carriers and if it isn't automatically added in the shipping cost, it's fairly inexpensive and straightforward to add.
