The Most Detailed Claim Guide from EzeeShip

For the shipping process, problems such as damage, loss are unavoidable. Thus, how to claim becomes a concern between the receivers and shippers. What should be done to maximize claim success?


1, Purchasing insurance to provide more protection to your valuables.

Since June 2019, EzeeShip has launched a new insurance service. Compared with the previous insurance services provided by FedEx and UPS, the new insurance mechanism not only makes your package more secure but also make the price better.



The maximum insured value is $50,000 for a package and $100,000 per shipment.


2, Follow the time limit for claims, submit related document information timely.

A: Claim for Lost or Damaged Package

FedEx: 60 days for lost or damaged packages with domestic services and 21 days with international services.

SmartPost : 90 days.

UPS:9 months for lost or damaged packages with domestic services and 45 days for COD check claim that has not been received.

USPS: please suggest the receiver to submit the claim form in the local post office.


NOTICE: Filing claim application online as accurate and correct and possible with the proof of value and pictures of damaged package and/ or goods when submitting a claim in your account. If filing a claim online is not available, please choose “I cannot fill in the online document and need contact from CS department ”. And there will be someone from EzeeShip to contact you with an e-mail to process the claim.


B: Claim for Shipping Rate

The tracking number and documents with weight and sizes of the package should be collected and sent to support@ezeeship.com. After receiving it, our specialist should file a claim towards the carrier.


After submitting the claim, what the customer’s concern is when to get a refund, how much will be refunded. Don’t worry. EzeeShip will update the real-time status of each process.


1, Process and time of the refund

After received the customers’ application, the EzeeShip customer department will contact the carrier to submit claims at once. The carrier will start the research process. In general, the carrier will feedback research a result in 30 business days. If you purchase the insurance, EzeeShip will declare the cost of the item and insurance and arrange a refund to your account within approximately 60 business days.


During the period, EzeeShip will follow it up and update the real-time status. After the claim is approved, the carrier will send a check and we will deposit the check and return the amount to your EzeeShip account after we receive it.


2, The compensation amount.

Not Insured: compensation amount =shipping fee +product cost (the product cost is up to $100 )

Insured: compensation amount =shipping fee + full product cost (up to $50,000)
